Those spindly branches framed the coastline just right, turning the Pacific into a series of jagged shapes. I was surprised by how the iPhone handled the flat, overcast light without blowing out the white foam on the rocks. My eye saw a moody, moody scene, but the sensor caught a lot of detail in those foreground needles that I almost missed.
